I
Chasing the dazzle of rainbows,
I fall into a chasm of darkness.
Drowning in nothing's everything,
I lift my head to catch my breath.
Wretched fumes envelope me,
tearing at my fiber of reality.
There is fixed solitude,
even as daily doses of crowds are infused.
II
Take my torment away,
bring me a fresh new day.
Blowing breeze of change,
freely flowing over me, new and strange.
I look into the distance, I grin,
chasing a rainbow yet again.
